Project Engineer (Exhaust Ducting Works Specialist)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage exhaust/ventilation ducting projects from design coordination to completion
• Review ducting shop drawings, layouts, and fabrication specifications
• Coordinate ducting fabrication and installation works between workshop and site teams
• Ensure ducting systems comply with relevant codes and authority requirements (e.g. SS 553, NEA exhaust requirements, fire-rated ducting standards)
• Conduct site supervision, quality checks, and testing & commissioning of ducting installations
• Liaise with kitchen exhaust/ACMV subcontractors, consultants, and relevant authorities
• Prepare method statements and risk assessments for ducting installation works
• Manage procurement of ducting materials and coordinate timely fabrication/delivery

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or related field
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience specifically in exhaust/kitchen ventilation ducting or ACMV ducting works
• Working knowledge of ACMV codes (e.g. SS 553), NEA exhaust requirements, and fire-rated ducting standards preferred
• Proficient in AutoCAD for ducting layouts and shop drawings
• Strong site coordination, technical troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and manage subcontractors on-site
