Position Overview

The Project/Costing Engineer is responsible for leading project planning, execution, and cost estimation while ensuring compliance with technical specifications, budget constraints, and timelines. The role requires independent project management, strong analytical skills, and effective communication with global stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities

1. Project Management:

• Lead end-to-end project execution from conception to completion.
• Develop project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery.
• dentify risks and implement mitigation strategies.

2. Cost Estimation & Budget Control:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates (materials, labour, equipment, etc.).
• Analyse project feasibility and ROI.
• Monitor expenditures and optimize costs without compromising quality.

3. Technical Coordination:

• Review engineering designs, specifications, and technical documents.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, contractors).
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

4. Stakeholder Communication:

• Interface with global teams, clients, and vendors in English (written & spoken).
• Prepare and present project reports, cost analyses, and progress updates.

5. Continuous Improvement:

• Implement best practices in project and cost management.
• Work with other Department engineers and contribute to process optimization.

Job Requirements & Qualification

• Education: Minimum Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial or related field.
• Experience: At least 3 years in project management and costing within a relevant industry (Preferably involving components for the automotive or electric vehicle (EV) sectors).
• Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Solidwork, AutoCAD).
• Knowledge of EV manufacturing processes and technologies, with a focus on production methodologies applicable to battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs). (Preferably)
• Knowledge with industry standards, such as IATF 16949 and ISO 14001. (Preferably
• Strong expertise in cost estimation software and Excel.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent English communication (verbal and written) for global collaboration.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills

Preferred (Advantageous):

• Experience in international projects or multicultural teams.

Work Conditions:

• Office-based in Singapore, site visits to Batam plants, hybrid.
• Willingness to travel if required.
