Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the design, programming, and controls engineering of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems ensuring compliance with applicable standards and customer requirements.
- Responsible for the selection of electrical components and suppliers in alignment with project specifications and applicable standards, supporting procurement and purchasing activities.
- Manage electrical and controls subcontractors, overseeing scope, schedules and performance to ensure on schedule delivery of projects.
- Communicate with project managers and customers on project requirements including design, programming, and control engineering.
- Supervise all site installations and operational activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety, and quality standards.
- Respond promptly to customer complaints related to electrical project activities, minimizing inconvenience and providing timely updates and resolution plans.
- Monitor installation progress and conduct inspections to ensure quality assurance and adherence to safety and customer requirements.
Requirements:
- Higher NITEC/Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical or equivalent.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Electrical and Controls Engineering.
- Proficient in industrial PLC programming, including Siemens, Allen Bradley, and Hitachi platforms.
- Knowledge of E-Plan or electrical CAD programme.
- Competency in design calculations for equipment power distribution systems and related electrical/control requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with all levels.
- A team-oriented individual, proactive, self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Relevant experience in the manufacturing sector, particularly within the semiconductor industry would be an added advantage.
- Willingness to work beyond regular hours when required, including for callouts, commissioning, or project-related needs.
- Willingness to travel internationally and be site based.
