JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Project Engineering & Contractual Management(Approx. 80%)
- Tender & Costing Support: Assist in quantity take-offs, cost estimations, and the preparation of accurate quotations and commercial documents for project tender submissions.
- Financial & Claim Tracking: Prepare and submit monthly progress claims, manage Variation Orders (VOs), and handle the finalization of project accounts.
- Project Coordination: Coordinate effectively with client representatives, consultants, project managers, and site teams to facilitate smooth, uninterrupted project progress.
- Site & Progress Management: Attend site meetings for progress coordination, collaborative problem-solving, and decision-making to drive successful project completion.
- Subcontractor & Vendor Liaison: Manage subcontract issues, fabrication timelines, and logistics from time to time.
- Quality & Safety Assurance: Review project specifications, identify potential structural or material feasibility issues, and ensure installations meet functional, safety, and aesthetic requirements.
- Documentation: Maintain precise, updated records of materials, measurements, and project costs to support budgeting and corporate reporting.
2. Drafting & Technical Documentation (Approx. 20%)
- Drawing Production: Prepare, update, and modify AutoCAD drawings, layouts, and detailed drawings (structural, and M&E) to support construction and fabrication teams.
- Site Verification: Liaise with site teams to verify that drawings accurately reflect actual site conditions and make necessary revisions.
- Technical Clarification: Provide clear drawing clarifications to project managers, engineers, clients, and subcontractors to minimize errors during installation.
- Version Control & Compliance: Check designs to ensure compliance with relevant authorities and standards. Establish strict version control over all drawings to guarantee the latest revisions are issued.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, local construction regulations, and modern drafting tools to continuously improve drawing efficiency and quality.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Min 2 years experiences working in a construction, engineering, or fabrication environment acting as a Project Engineer or Coordinator.
- Hands-on experience in generating and modifying technical drawings.
Technical Skills
- Software Proficiency: Highly proficient in AutoCAD
- Technical Literacy: Ability to read, interpret, and cross-reference complex engineering/architectural blueprints, structural details, and material specifications.
- Financial Literacy: Solid understanding of quantity take-offs, cost estimation, progress claims, and VO processes.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage diverse stakeholders (clients, sub-contractors, site workers).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle structural or logistical bottlenecks on-site.
