Job Summary
Support project execution by assisting the Project Manager in planning, tender preparation, and ensuring compliance with technical, quality, and safety standards for civil engineering projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in planning and coordinating project execution from award to final handover to the client
- Support the preparation of tender proposals by analyzing tender drawings, specifications, and scope of works to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Interpret and apply Local Authorities/Agencies requirements to civil engineering works to maintain regulatory compliance
- Use CAD, MS Project, Staad, and Prokon software to develop and review engineering designs and project schedules
- Apply technical competence to analyze engineering problems and develop quality solutions aligned with project goals
- Communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms to coordinate with team members, clients, and stakeholders
- Work independently with a proactive and self-motivated approach to meet project deadlines and objectives
- Participate actively in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) initiatives by attending trainings, safety committee meetings, emergency drills, and risk assessments
- Promote a positive WSH culture by engaging in safety forums, audits, walkabouts, and promotional events
- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisors or higher management to support project and organizational needs
Required competencies and certifications
- Recognized Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an engineering consultancy firm, preferably with pipe jacking and water/sewerage project experience
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Project Management experience
- Familiarity with Local Authorities/Agencies requirements for civil works
- Proficiency in CAD, MS Project, Staad, and Prokon software
