Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer to lead site activities and project management for a new PUB (Singapore's National Water Agency) drainage project. You will ensure drainage construction and upgrading works are delivered safely, on schedule, and comply with the Code of Practice on Surface Water Drainage and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate site works for drains, culverts, and waterways to complete projects within budget and timelines
- Review hydraulic and structural designs for drainage systems and prepare technical documents including Method Statements, construction programs, and shop drawings
- Manage technical submissions and secure timely approvals from PUB, LTA, NParks, and other authorities
- Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with design intent, quality standards, and workplace safety regulations
- Engage with public, agencies, and internal stakeholders to address feedback and minimize disruption during project implementation
- Assist in project budgeting, assess progress claims, and administer contracts effectively
- Implement and monitor Earth Control Measures (ECM) and ensure site practices comply with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements
- Utilize AutoCAD or BIM software proficiently to support project design and documentation
- Apply solid knowledge of LTA and PUB's Code of Practice to ensure regulatory compliance
- Communicate clearly and solve problems effectively to coordinate with contractors and government agencies
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering recognised by the Professional Engineers (PE) Board Singapore
- Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in infrastructure or civil works in Singapore, specifically in drainage, sewerage, or roadworks
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Valid CSCPM (Construction Safety Course for Project Managers) or WSQ Manage Workplace Safety and Health certification is highly preferred

- Expected Salary: $3,000 - $5,000 per month (depending on experience)
