Project Engineer (Building & Industrial)
Responsible for coordinating and managing day-to-day site operations to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory and quality standards in Singapore. This role bridges the site team, consultants, and management to ensure smooth project execution.
1. Project Planning & Coordination
- Assist Project Manager in overall project planning and execution
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Review project drawings, specifications, and method statements
- Ensure works are carried out according to approved plans
2. Technical & Engineering Support
- Interpret technical drawings and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare method statements, shop drawings, and as-built drawings
- Coordinate submissions and approvals with consultants
- Support design coordination and value engineering where required
3. Authority & Compliance Management
- Ensure compliance with BCA, MOM, NEA and other statutory requirements
- Coordinate inspections with relevant authorities
- Ensure proper documentation for permits, approvals, and inspections
- Maintain site safety in accordance with WSH regulations
4. Progress Monitoring & Reporting
- Track project progress against schedule
- Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports
- Highlight delays, risks, and mitigation plans
- Attend site meetings and report to management
Key Activities (Daily / Weekly)
- Conduct daily site walk and toolbox meetings
- Coordinate with subcontractors on work sequence
- Review and update construction schedule
- Check drawings and resolve technical issues
- Prepare and submit RFIs, shop drawings, method statements
- Liaise with consultants for inspections and approvals
- Monitor site safety practices and rectify unsafe conditions
- Attend progress meetings with stakeholders
