Key Responsibilities
A. Project Planning & Execution
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Oversee day-to-day site operations for ACMV and fire protection works.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with specifications.
- Monitor progress and prepare regular project status reports.
B. Technical & Engineering Coordination
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical submissions.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams on technical matters.
- Ensure proper installation, testing, and commissioning of ACMV and fire protection systems.
- Support design development and value engineering where applicable.
C. Regulatory & Compliance Management
- Ensure compliance with local authorities and regulatory standards, including: BCA & SCDF
- Prepare and submit necessary documentation for approvals and inspections.
- Ensure all works comply with safety standards and site regulations.
D. Testing & Commissioning
- Participate in system testing, commissioning, and handover processes.
- Coordinate inspections with relevant authorities and consultants.
- Ensure all defects are rectified prior to project completion.
E. Cost & Procurement Management
- Assist in material sourcing, procurement, and cost control.
- Evaluate quotations and manage subcontractor performance.
- Track project costs and highlight potential overruns.
F. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate project documentation including drawings, reports, and records.
- Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and work procedures.
- Ensure proper handover documentation upon project completion.
3. Requirements
Education & Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in ACMV and/or fire protection projects.
- Experience in Singapore construction environment preferred.
Technical Competencies
- Knowledge of ACMV systems (e.g., chilled water systems, VRV/VRF, ventilation).
- Knowledge of fire protection systems (e.g., sprinkler, fire alarm, smoke control).
- Understanding of local codes and standards (BCA, SCDF).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and basic project management tools.
