Project Engineer (A&A Commercial Projects)

About the Company

Our client is an established main contractor specializing in commercial Additions & Alterations (A&A) works, interior fit-out, and upgrading projects across office buildings, retail malls, and institutional developments. With a strong project pipeline and repeat clients, they are looking to strengthen their site team with an experienced Project Engineer.

Role Overview

The Project Engineer will support the Project Manager in overseeing A&A commercial projects from planning to completion. This role requires strong coordination skills, technical knowledge of building works, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders in live building environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in planning, coordination, and execution of A&A commercial projects

• Oversee day-to-day site operations and ensure works are carried out according to schedule

• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients

• Ensure compliance with BCA regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements

• Monitor work progress and prepare site reports

• Attend site meetings and technical coordination meetings

• Review shop drawings, method statements, and material submissions

• Resolve technical and site issues promptly

• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering / Building / Construction Management
• 2-5 years of experience in commercial A&A or fit-out projects
• Experience handling projects in live environments (office, retail, commercial buildings) preferred
• Familiar with local authority requirements and submission processes
