Project Director (LTA MRT & Tunnel Projects)

PROJECT DIRECTOR

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership: Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale MRT station and tunnelling projects, overseeing all phases from design coordination and construction to testing and commissioning.

Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for LTA, government agencies, consultants, and internal management, ensuring alignment and clear communication

Strategy & Planning: Drive construction strategy, resource planning, and project scheduling to meet critical milestones and overcome complex challenges.

Commercial & Financial Oversight: Oversee project financials, including budgeting, cost control, claims, and variation management to ensure profitability.

Compliance & Safety: Ensure all works are carried out in strict compliance with LTA specifications, regulatory requirements, and the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental management.

Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a large, multi-disciplinary team of engineers, construction managers, and commercial staff to foster a high-performance culture.

Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate technical, operational, and commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.ls

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Experience: Minimum of 15 to 20 years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure, with significant experience on large-scale MRT or tunnelling projects.

  Local Expertise:Proven track record delivering LTA projects in Singapore (e.g., Cross Island Line - CRL, Thomson-East Coast Line - TEL, Downtown Line - DTL, or Circle Line - CCL) is mandatory

• Technical Skills: Deep expertise in underground station construction, deep excavation, and tunnelling works (TBM and cut-and-cover methods).

• Leadership: Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple teams and projects concurrently.

• Certifications: PMP, PE, or equivalent certification is preferred.
