Project Director (Construction)

• Basic $10,000 - $15,000 + performance bonus

• Working location: Ubi

• Working day: Monday - Friday

• Working hours: 9.00am - 6.00pm

Overview:

The Project Director will be responsible to lead the delivery of large-scale construction projects. This role is responsible for overall project success-from planning through completion-ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership & Delivery

• Lead and oversee the full project lifecycle, from planning and design through construction and completion.

• Define project objectives, strategies, schedules, and delivery plans.

• Monitor progress, manage risks, and resolve issues to ensure successful project outcomes.

Budget & Commercial Management

• Develop, manage, and control project budgets and cash flow.

• Track costs, manage contracts, variations, and claims with subcontractors and suppliers.

• Optimize resources to achieve cost efficiency and profitability.

Stakeholder & Team Management

• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, government agencies, and internal teams.

• Lead, mentor, and support project managers, engineers, and site teams.

• Ensure clear communication and alignment across all stakeholders.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all local building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.

• Enforce safety policies and maintain a safe working environment.

• Conduct regular site reviews and audits to uphold quality and safety performance.

Risk Management & Problem Solving

• Identify potential risks and implement effective mitigation and contingency plans.

• Address project challenges and conflicts promptly to minimize delays and disruptions.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

• Drive improvements in construction methods and project management practices.

• Promote best practices to enhance efficiency, productivity, and project outcomes.

• Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and improve future performance.

Regulatory & External Representation

• Manage regulatory approvals and maintain strong relationships with authorities and industry partners.

• Represent the company in high-level meetings, negotiations, and project discussions.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of construction industry experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing large-scale projects.

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, project management tools, and local building, safety, and quality regulations.

• Proven leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
