Wood is currently recruiting for a Project Coordinator – Lab & CQV to support client-side oversight of laboratory, utilities, and CQV-related scopes on major capital projects in Singapore. The role supports the Project Manager – Facilities & Infrastructure through strong coordination, reporting, documentation control, and interface management, ensuring EPCM partners and vendors deliver to agreed scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager in planning and delivering defined laboratory construction, equipment installation, and CQV-related scope to meet agreed schedule, budget, and quality targets.
  • Coordinate and track scope execution across design, procurement, construction, commissioning, qualification, and handover phases.
  • Prepare and issue regular project reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal and client stakeholders.
  • Participate in Mechanical Completion (MC) walkdowns, manage punch lists, and support commissioning, qualification, and system start-up activities.
  • Support readiness for lab Mechanical Completion, system handover, commissioning, and operational turnover milestones.
  • Coordinate interfaces between Project Management, EPCM, Engineering disciplines, QA, Validation, Procurement, Contractors, and Vendors to enable integrated delivery.
  • Participate in detailed design, construction, and installation meetings and reviews with EPCM and suppliers.
  • Act as a key communication focal point to ensure alignment between technical teams, site operations, and overall project objectives.
  • Ensure work is executed in compliance with applicable engineering standards, SHE requirements, GMP and GEP expectations.
  • Support coordination of statutory inspections, permits, and regulatory approvals related to laboratory construction, fit-out, and equipment installation.
  • Promote a positive health and safety culture and support compliance with client and Wood safety requirements.
  • Coordinate responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) from EPCM and vendors, ensuring timely, accurate, and scope-aligned responses.
  • Support coordination of MEP and specialist utilities (process gases, special services) to ensure compatibility with laboratory equipment requirements.
  • Ensure project documentation is controlled, traceable, and maintained in accordance with agreed systems and quality plans.
  • Support procurement activities through technical clarification, documentation review, and vendor coordination.
  • Track supplier and vendor deliverables, including documentation, FAT, SAT, delivery, installation, and qualification activities.
  • Identify and assist in the management of risks related to scope, cost, schedule, and quality, escalating issues as required.
  • Organise and follow up FAT, SAT, and qualification execution and documentation, ensuring closure of deviations.
  • Interface with site engineering, maintenance, calibration, and operations teams to support asset onboarding and operational readiness.
  • Support CQV execution for laboratory spaces, systems, and equipment through to final handover to Site Operations.

Qualifications

Education

  • Degree in Engineering, Project / Construction Management, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related technical discipline.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Experience coordinating laboratory, utilities, or CQV-related work packages in a project-driven environment.
  • Working knowledge of commissioning and qualification processes including MC, FAT, SAT, IQ, and OQ.
  • Understanding of laboratory systems and interfaces including equipment utilities, environmental controls, cleanrooms, and specialist fit-out.
  • Experience in regulated or GxP environments with strong awareness of quality and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to coordinate contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with specifications, safety standards, and project requirements.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting CQV documentation and regulated life sciences facilities.
  • Post-graduate engineering or scientific qualification.
