Key Responsibilities
1. Project Coordination
- Assist the Project Manager in tracking project progress and timelines
- Coordinate with main contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Ensure smooth execution of structural steel fabrication and installation works
2. Drawings & Documentation
- Review and follow up on shop drawings, GA drawings, and as-built drawings
- Manage drawing revisions and submissions for approval
- Liaise with engineers and consultants to resolve technical issues
3. Material & Production Tracking
- Monitor fabrication progress with steel suppliers
- Coordinate delivery schedules to ensure timely arrival on site
- Prevent delays due to material shortages
4. Site Coordination
- Work closely with site supervisors and foremen on installation progress
- Arrange lifting activities and installation sequences
- Resolve on-site issues such as misalignment or design discrepancies
5. Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and progress reports
- Submit RFIs (Request for Information) when needed
- Support inspections (e.g., welding, bolting) and quality checks
6. Safety & Regulations
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards set by the Ministry of Manpower
- Assist with permit applications (e.g., lifting, hot work)
- Coordinate with safety personnel to maintain a safe working environment
