This role co-ordinates, controls and oversees all aspects of major projects from an estimating and engineering perspective to ensure consistent engineering schedule achievement with predominant focus on the following:
- Facilitate and manage the operational and tactical aspects of multiple projects and their associated engineering deliverables
- Ensure engineering deliverables (documents and packages) are delivered to project management, customers and workshops to the agreed quality and within the scheduled dates.
- Assist and support the team to develop and implement and manage to engineering deliverables plans
- Understand and manage available resources, maximise their utilisation and stakeholder needs across multiple projects
- Apply project management methodology to deliver engineering to defined parameters, schedule, budgets and timelines
- Coach and mentor individual engineering team members, specifically in relation to project management principles and methodologies
- Develop a whole of team mentality where the skills and abilities of the team combine to deliver superior engineering outcomes
- The team are critical to these activities, work closely with the Operations Manager and Project Managers and facilitate the flow of work to manufacturing.
SELECTION CRITERIA
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
ESSENTIAL
- Associate diploma / certificate or degree qualification's in electrical engineering
- Vast experience in project management and coordination
- Project Management qualification
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL
- Extensive experience in the design and manufacture of electrical equipment.
- Previous experience managing a group of people, especially an engineering, manufacturing or tunnelling setting.
- Demonstrated experience in resolving problems - both technical and people management issues.
- Experience working within in an electrical engineering/manufacturing environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of commercial contract terms and conditions
- Experience and knowledge of LTA/ PUB and Singapore Power standards
