Project Control Assistant - Japanese Speaker

The Project Control Assistant role focuses on supporting electrical design coordination and project control activities, primarily for projects based in Japan while liaising with regional stakeholders. The position combines electrical system design, technical coordination, project documentation and progress monitoring within an international project environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer electrical systems for construction projects, mainly projects based in Japan, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, safety and quality requirements

• Prepare and revise electrical drawings using AutoCAD, and coordinate technical matters with Japanese and overseas clients to meet project specifications

• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors throughout the project lifecycle, supporting progress tracking, documentation and smooth project execution

• Support project control activities, including documentation management, meeting coordination and reporting

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field

• Experience in electrical design and construction projects

• Proficiency in AutoCAD

• Strong coordination and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced project environment

• Proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N2 or above) and English is required - as the role involves frequent coordination with Japanese clients, review of technical documents and drawings in Japanese, and participation in meetings for projects primarily executed in Japan, in accordance with business communication needs

• Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in cross-border or Japan-related projects

• Familiarity with construction project management processes

• Experience working with international teams and vendors
