Our client is a renowned/global commodity sales and marketing MNC with an international presence.

We have an exciting opportunity for a keen Project Business Finance Manager/Controller to join the finance team of this MNC. This is a 1-year contract role and the role reports to a Project Controlling lead. You will be responsible to manage the Project Controlling and extend support to the business manager by providing valuable financial information helping him/her to make informed decision.

This role will appeal to those who can work in a stand-alone role as this team is based across different countries & regions. This role will give you the exposure to connect with people from across the globe but also require you to represent team in Singapore & Malaysia and be open to work outside usual hours as and when required. For this MNC, it provides flexible and hybrid work arrangements.

Specific responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Project financial management including budgeting, forecasting, managing project cost, maintaining compliance with our internal policies & IFRS
  • Participate in monthly project reviews and input on bids including costing sheet review
  • Monthly cost variance reviews, book closing, month end reporting and overview of account receivable
  • Prepare monthly financial information and analysis for projects
  • Perform year-end and any other requisite analytics and reporting and assist in special or process improvements projects as may be assigned from time to time

You're highly driven individual with great learning agility and you're focused on finding opportunities and ways to optimise work processes. You have sound experience of accounting & project fundamentals. You thrive to act as a partner with business by delivering financial analysis and help the business in achieving profitable growth.

In addition, you possess the following relevant skills and attributes

  • Degree in finance/accounting plus professional qualification highly desirable
  • Demonstrated experience of more than 4 years in project controlling/accounting supporting large customer projects is essential. Has strong budgeting, forecasting and analytical skills.
  • Added project controlling exp supporting projects in the power, oil and gas, utilities, tech, datacentre sectors will be useful
  • Skilful in MS Office - Excel, Access and PowerPoint & knowledge of SAP (PS,FICO)
  • Great communication skills & ability to deal with various levels of authority within the business
  • Open to a 12 month contract role and available to start at short notice or in the next 1 month
