Job Summary:
GTS Singapore is seeking a Project-Based Data Analyst to automate reports and develop dashboards for various trade data such as trade volumes, sales performance and margins. The role involves optimizing reporting processes, improving data accuracy, and providing insights through interactive dashboards. The ideal candidate has experience in financial or banking data analysis, report automation, and business intelligence tools.
Key Responsibilities:
. Develop automated reports for trade volumes, sales performance, and margins, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Build interactive dashboards to visualize key trade-related metrics and trends.
- Optimize and streamline existing reporting processes, reducing manual effort.
- Extract, clean, and analyze trade and financial data from various internal systems and databases.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across all reports and dashboards.
- Work closely with stakeholders from the trade department to understand reporting needs and enhance data-driven decision-making.
- Provide documentation and training on new reporting solutions for end-users.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Banking or financial industry experience with a focus on trade, treasury, or financial reporting.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
- Experience with report automation using Excel (VBA, Power Query), Python, or R.
- Familiarity with banking systems, financial data, and trade-related KPIs.
- Knowledge of ETL processes and ability to work with large datasets.
- Ability to work independently, meet project deadlines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills to translate data insights into business recommendations.
Preferred Experience:
. Experience working with core banking systems, treasury platforms, or trade finance data.
. Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms
