This is a fixed-term role of 6-months only to support a fixed duration client project. The suitable candidate is expected to hit the ground running on the client project from day one due to the short-term nature of the role.
WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
You will join our Singapore office to work in teams and directly with our client. In this role you will help our client solve their most pressing problems. You will also work with many experts, from data scientists and researchers to software and app designers.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You'll work in teams of typically 3 - 5 consultants to identify, and oftentimes implement, potential solutions for a specific client problem or challenge. Together, you will help our client make lasting improvements to their performance and realize their most important goals.
Over the course of the project, you will gather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, and develop and communicate recommendations. You'll also present results to client management and implement recommendations in collaboration with client team members. In some cases, you will be asked to travel to your client site.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree Advanced graduate degree (e.g., MBA, PhD, etc.) or equivalent preferred.
- 3+ to 4 years of business management and/or business consulting experience in a reputed company. Given the short-term nature of this role involving urgent projects, experience working in a top-tier management consulting firm is highly advantageous.
- Due to regional work with our client, prior experience working in another Southeast Asian country is preferred.
- Solid functional knowledge, including but not limited to strategy, product development, project management, marketing, and sales, with demonstrated exposure to AI-driven transformations, data analytics initiatives, and innovation programs within the insurance or broader financial services sectors. Familiarity with top-tier consulting methodologies and their application in digital and AI-enabled engagements is also required.
- Practical understanding of AI use cases relevant to financial services-such as customer analytics, underwriting enhancement, fraud detection, or personalized product solutions-and experience partnering with technical or data teams to operationalize such solutions is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in technologies for internal and external communications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Slack, Box and SharePoint. Experience leveraging collaborative tools within distributed or cross-border teams is an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and create an inclusive environment with people at all levels of an organization, including cross-functional stakeholders and external partners.
- Capability to drive an independent workstream in the context of a broader team project, with a proven track record of owning deliverables, managing client expectations, and integrating insights from AI or advanced analytics workstreams where relevant.
- Comfort with ambiguous, fast-evolving situations and the ability to translate emerging technologies-including AI solutions-into practical business recommendations.
- Ability to break down and solve problems through quantitative thinking and analysis, supported by structured reasoning and data-driven insights.
- As our client is English-speaking, ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English, including synthesizing complex AI concepts into executive-ready insights.
