We are looking for a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, collaborating across teams, and contributing to the financial success of a diverse portfolio of projects.

What You'll Do

As a Project Accountant, you will support the financial administration of projects from setup through close-out. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing project contracts and maintaining financial documentation

  • Preparing client invoices, monitoring collections, and maintaining accounts receivable records

  • Processing accounts payable, consultant invoices, and vendor payments

  • Assisting with project reporting, reconciliations, and month-end activities

  • Preparing management reports and supporting ad hoc financial analysis

  • Working closely with Project Managers, Project Architects, and colleagues across our global offices to ensure projects are managed efficiently

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who is organised, proactive, and enjoys working in a collaborative environment. Ideally, you will have:

  • A minimum Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

  • At least 3 years of experience in project accounting, preferably within a professional services environment

  • Good understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger processes

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

  • Experience with Deltek, BST, or a similar ERP system would be an advantage

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with internal stakeholders

Why Join WATG

At WATG, you'll be part of a global, collaborative team where your work directly supports the delivery of world-class design projects. We value initiative, continuous improvement, and professional growth, and we provide opportunities to learn, contribute, and build your career in an international environment.

If you're looking for a role where you can combine your accounting expertise with project-focused financial management, we'd love to hear from you.
