We are looking for a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, collaborating across teams, and contributing to the financial success of a diverse portfolio of projects.
As a Project Accountant, you will support the financial administration of projects from setup through close-out. Your responsibilities will include:
Setting up and maintaining project records in the ERP system
Supporting project accounting activities and monitoring project financial health
Reviewing project contracts and maintaining financial documentation
Preparing client invoices, monitoring collections, and maintaining accounts receivable records
Processing accounts payable, consultant invoices, and vendor payments
Assisting with project reporting, reconciliations, and month-end activities
Preparing management reports and supporting ad hoc financial analysis
Working closely with Project Managers, Project Architects, and colleagues across our global offices to ensure projects are managed efficiently
We're seeking someone who is organised, proactive, and enjoys working in a collaborative environment. Ideally, you will have:
A minimum Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
At least 3 years of experience in project accounting, preferably within a professional services environment
Good understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger processes
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Experience with Deltek, BST, or a similar ERP system would be an advantage
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with internal stakeholders
