Job Description

Reporting to the Assistant Manager/Manager, you will play a key role in the development, planning, and implementation of the Society's Enrichment Programmes and Special Interest Groups (SIGs). You will help foster meaningful, empowering, and engaging experiences for cancer survivors and patients, ensuring programmes remain relevant to the evolving needs of the community.

This role involves programme coordination, stakeholder engagement, and administrative support, working closely with volunteer trainers, support group members, vendors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Enrichment Activities & Workshops

  • Plan and execute weekly enrichment classes and activities.

  • Coordinate and schedule classes with trainers to ensure smooth and timely delivery.

  • Design and disseminate quarterly recruitment materials via eDMs, email, and WhatsApp.

  • Manage registration logistics, including confirmation emails, waitlist management, and participant communications.

  • Organise and coordinate performance contributions for flagship SCS events, community engagements, and partnership showcases.

  • Manage trainers honorarium and programme-related payments in collaboration with the Finance team.

  • Maintain attendance records and track unique participant engagement for reporting and evaluation.

  • Support programme evolution by reviewing existing classes, identifying gaps, and contributing to a structured curriculum framework (including intermediate and advanced levels).

  • Assist in the design and implementation of short-term, niche experiential workshops.

  • Monitor programme effectiveness through participant feedback and recommend improvements.

Special Interest Groups (SIGs)

  • Develop and support interest groups in collaboration with volunteer champions and training vendors.

  • Coordinate SIG activities, including logistics for competitions, community events, and showcases.

  • Facilitate on-site involvement for SIG-related events.

  • Handle administrative duties such as equipment logistics, scheduling, attendance tracking, and participant coordination.

  • Process programme-related payments and claims in accordance with finance procedures.

  • Maintain up-to-date SIG documentation, workgroup listings, and participation records.

Other Duties

  • Serve as the primary liaison for all enrichment classes and SIG-related matters.

  • Provide timely communication and updates to members, trainers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

  • Foster strong relationships to encourage engagement and collaboration.

  • Gather and analyse feedback to enhance programme relevance and participant experience.

  • Support outreach strategies to expand programme reach within budget and resource constraints.

  • Prepare monthly statistics, annual budgets, and required documentation.

  • Perform general administrative tasks including scheduling, recruitment coordination, and database updates.

  • Provide ad-hoc event support and undertake other duties as assigned.

  • Ensure all class and session logistics are properly arranged for smooth programme delivery.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma in a related field

  • 1-2 years of experience in community, programme, or events management preferred

  • Experience in events coordination and volunteer engagement

  • Strong planning, communication, organisational, and administrative skills

  • Ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships

  • High emotional intelligence (EQ) and passion for working with older adults and cancer survivors

  • Able to work on weekends

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks

  • Enjoys programme development and creating meaningful experiences

  • A proactive, adaptable team player
