Job Description and Requirements of Programme Counsellor
The Programme Counsellor will recruit international students from Southeast Asia for CAE programmes, with an initial focus on Business Administration and FinTech.
The role combines consultative programme counselling, lead conversion and the development of sustainable student-recruitment channels across Southeast Asia.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Promote CAE programmes to prospective students across Southeast Asian markets, particularly programmes in Business Administration and FinTech.
- Provide accurate and responsible programme counselling covering course suitability, entry requirements, fees, application procedures and enrolment timelines.
- Manage prospective students from initial enquiry through application, offer acceptance and enrolment, ensuring timely and professional follow-up.
- Develop and maintain relationships with education agents, international schools, colleges, pathway partners and other relevant recruitment channels.
- Identify and develop new student-recruitment opportunities and partnerships within the assigned markets.
- Support recruitment events, information sessions, school visits, webinars and regional outreach activities.
- Travel within the region when required for recruitment and partnership-development activities.
- Maintain accurate lead and applicant records and provide regular reports on the recruitment pipeline, conversion performance and market feedback.
- Work towards agreed recruitment and enrolment targets while complying with CAE policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the admissions, academic and marketing teams to ensure a smooth applicant experience and effective market communications.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma or degree in business, marketing, education or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Relevant experience in student recruitment, programme counselling, education sales, international school admissions or a related field.
- Strong consultative selling, communication, relationship-management and follow-up skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, education agents and institutional partners from different cultural backgrounds.
- Organised, target-oriented and comfortable managing multiple leads across different stages of the recruitment process.
- Proficiency in English.
- Additional Southeast Asian language capability would be advantageous.
Preferred Experience
- Established relationships with education agents, schools or recruitment partners in one or more South-East Asian markets.
- Existing student-recruitment channels or relevant regional resources.
- Previous responsibility for international student enrolment targets and conversion performance.
- Experience in international school admissions or international student recruitment.
- Understanding of Business Administration, FinTech or related higher-education programmes.
