Programme Coordinator

Role Overview

The Programme Coordinator willserve as a critical enabler for the public-private programmes and broader PMOoperations at SIMTech. This role strengthens programme governance, streamlinesmonitoring and control processes, and drives the adoption of digital andautomated tools. The coordinator ensures operational excellence across allprogramme workstreams and frees programme managers to focus on strategicplanning, partner engagements, and technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

1. Programme Monitoring, Control & Governance

  • Manage and maintain programme‑level tracking systems for milestones, budget and KPIs across multiple workstreams.
  • Standardize and streamline repetitive monitoring and reporting activities to ensure consistency across the programme.
  • Identify deviations early, flag risks proactively, and prepare recommended mitigation actions for programme leadership.

2. Digitalisation, Automation & Dashboard Development

  • Lead the simplification, automation, and optimisation of current processes (e.g., reporting workflows, tracking of milestones, budget and KPIs).
  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards (Power BI or equivalents) that enable data‑driven and agile decision‑making.
  • Evaluate and implement digital tools or solutions that improve efficiency, reduce manual workload, and strengthen programme visibility.

3. Programme Operations & Cross-FunctionalCoordination

  • Serve as the central coordination point for cross‑functional activities, ensuring timely alignment among internal teams, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Organize and manage regular programme checkpoints, reviews, and decision forums, including agendas, logistics, and documentation.
  • Ensure programme documentation, SOPs, templates, and repository structures are up‑to‑date and fit for purpose.

4. Resource & Workflow Support

  • Support programme managers in resource planning, workload allocation, and tracking utilisation across the programme.
  • Assist in the preparation of high‑quality presentations, reports, and communication artefacts for leadership, funders, and stakeholders.

5. Continuous Improvement & PMO Agility

  • Analyse existing programme processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for simplification.
  • Recommend and help implement improvements that support agile ways of working, faster responses, and higher productivity.
  • Promote best practices in programme coordination, documentation, and tool usage across the team.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in programme or project coordination, PMO operations, or technical operations-preferably in tech, engineering, manufacturing, or R&D environments.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with Power BI, workflow tools (e.g., Power Automate), or other digital/automation solutions.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, especially in tracking and reporting.
  • Solid communication skills-able to convey complex information clearly across technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working independently in dynamic, fast‑paced environments.
  • Collaborative and adaptable team player with strong stakeholder coordination abilities.
