RESPONSIBILITIES

The Programme Associate supports the planning, coordination and implementation of programmes and community initiatives to enhance the well-being of seniors and the community. The role involves programme administration, community outreach, volunteer engagement, KPI tracking and operational support to ensure smooth and effective service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Planning and Execution

  • Support the preparation, coordination and execution of programmes and events.
  • Conduct regular home visits and community engagement activities.
  • Deliver programmes and activities to meet the targeted needs of seniors and the community.
  • Assist in conducting basic assessments, collecting relevant data and consolidating reports/log sheets for submission.
  • Monitor and track programme expenditure to ensure spending remains within budget.
  • Support Reporting Officer in reviewing programme effectiveness and alignment with centre objectives.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and yearly reports as required by funding agencies and management.
  • Follow service frameworks, operational procedures and best practices for programme implementation.
  • Identify trends and community needs to enhance programme relevance and impact.
  • Collaborate with community partners and organisations to achieve programme goals.

Community Outreach and Engagement

  • Implement outreach initiatives, roadshows and community engagement activities.
  • Gather relevant information from community stakeholders and service users.
  • Link seniors and residents to suitable community resources and support services.
  • Support services such as home visits, medical escorts and other community-based activities.

Volunteer Management

  • Work closely with volunteers in the execution of programmes and activities.
  • Communicate programme objectives and provide guidance to volunteers.
  • Support volunteer recruitment, engagement and retention efforts.
  • Build relationships with community partners and organisations to expand volunteer networks.

Compliance and Administration

Consolidate and monitor KPI status periodically

  • Ensure KPIs are achieved within timelines set by funding agencies.
  • Maintain proper documentation, records and reports.
  • Ensure programme operations and expenditure comply with organisational and funding requirements.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Possess Diploma in any discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Prior experience in programme coordination, event planning or community work will be an advantage.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

  • People-oriented with good interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using various IT platforms.
  • Able to speak local languages and dialects is an advantage.
  • Passionate about engaging and working with seniors.
  • Willing to travel for regular home visits and community outreach.
  • Positive attitude, proactive and committed team player.
