Role Overview
We are partnering with a leading organisation delivering large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure projects across the APAC region. This role will be responsible for leading technical coordination, design reviews, engineering assurance, and programme delivery across multiple disciplines, including Electrical, Mechanical, ICT/Telecommunications, Controls, and Architectural systems. The successful candidate will act as the key technical interface between stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and vendors, ensuring engineering solutions are delivered to quality, schedule, and operational standards while driving continuous improvement and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical programme delivery and engineering coordination across multiple concurrent projects.
- Review engineering designs, specifications, drawings, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with standards and project requirements.
- Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive resolution of technical issues, RFIs, design clashes, and cross-discipline coordination challenges.
- Provide technical guidance on electrical, mechanical, telecoms, controls, and critical infrastructure systems.
- Support the development and standardisation of engineering specifications, design packages, and best practices.
- Monitor project risks, maintain issue trackers, and implement mitigation plans to protect project schedules.
- Participate in design reviews, construction support, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
- Evaluate vendor proposals and provide technical recommendations during procurement and delivery phases.
- Identify opportunities to improve system performance, efficiency, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
- Manage defect rectification, punch list closure, and final acceptance activities.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and stakeholder updates on project progress and engineering initiatives.
- Maintain document control, revision management, and engineering records throughout project execution.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the enhancement of engineering standards and processes.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Telecommunications, Building Services, Controls, Instrumentational, Architectural, or a related Engineering discipline.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale infrastructure, data centre, industrial, or mission-critical projects.
- Strong understanding of design review, engineering assurance, and project delivery methodologies.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams across Electrical, Mechanical, ICT, Telecoms, Security, Controls, and CSA disciplines.
- Familiarity with industry standards and engineering best practices relevant to critical facilities.
- Experience working with BIM/review platforms, project management tools, and document management systems.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence technical decision-making.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly.
- Knowledge of testing, commissioning, handover, and operational readiness processes.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high levels of accuracy and quality.
- Professional certifications such as RCDD, PMP, PE, Chartered Engineer, or equivalent are advantageous.
- Experience in data centres, hyperscale facilities, utilities, energy, or mission-critical infrastructure is highly preferred.
