Job Summary

The Programs Manager at CIEE Singapore leads the planning, delivery, and evaluation of excursions, cultural and social activities, and co-curricular programs. This role manages staff, ensures high-quality program execution, and upholds health, safety, and financial standards aligned with CIEE's mission.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of cultural, social, orientation, farewell, co-curricular activities, and overnight study tours to ensure engaging and high-quality program experiences
  • Manage, mentor, and support program staff to achieve effective activity delivery and compliance with operational standards
  • Oversee the High School Summer Abroad (HSSA) program, including pre-program planning, on-site operations, staff supervision, and post-program evaluation to ensure smooth execution
  • Manage the CIEE Ambassador Program and Student Representative Council (SRC), ensuring clear governance, communication, and successful activity implementation
  • Build and maintain partnerships with cultural organizations, community groups, and service providers to enhance program offerings and stakeholder engagement
  • Represent CIEE Singapore in negotiations and collaborations with vendors, institutions, and external stakeholders to support program delivery
  • Support program promotion through approved marketing channels and communications to increase participant engagement
  • Lead health, safety, and security oversight by implementing risk management protocols, monitoring compliance, and supporting staff in incident prevention
  • Coordinate emergency response efforts, liaise with internal and external resources, and ensure accurate reporting in Salesforce and other systems
  • Conduct regular emergency drills and reviews to maintain staff readiness and competency in safety procedures
  • Manage the 24/7 emergency phone rotation, including participation in the on-call schedule as required
  • Develop and manage program budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial policies
  • Maintain accurate program documentation, operational records, and reports to support compliance and continuous improvement
  • Identify opportunities to enhance program quality, efficiency, and relevance using evaluation data, participant feedback, and industry trends
  • Collaborate with the Centre Director and regional leadership to contribute to the Singapore Centre's long-term program development strategy

Required competencies and certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in education, international studies, or a related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in program management, preferably in study abroad, higher education, or cultural exchange
  • Proven experience managing staff and delivering complex programs within budget and deadlines
  • Demonstrated expertise in health, safety, and security oversight, including risk prevention and emergency response

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Salesforce, and program/project management tools
  • Strong interpersonal, cross-cultural communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

4 days office + 1 day work from home, may be required to work on selected weekends or public holiday (compensated with off-in-lieu)

Working hours: 8:30am - 5:30pm or 9:00am - 6:00pm
