The Program Director is responsible for strategizing, implementing and maintaining program initiatives that roll up to the organizational objectives. You are to oversee multiple projects team to ensure that program goals are achieved.
You are also responsible for managing the budget and funding for maximizing productivity and efficiency. Thus, it is important that you develop program assessment protocols for evaluation and improvement. Additionally, you are to maintain organizational standards of satisfactions, quality and performance.
What you will do:
- Planning and designing the program and proactively monitoring its progress including developing a robust risk mitigation plan
- Working closely with project sponsor, cross-functional teams, sub-contractors and assigned project managers to plan and develop scope, deliverable, resources, budget and other factors required to deliver the project.
- Monitoring, collaborating and managing effectively any sub-contractors engaged in the projects and monitor the performance of their duties to meet the requirements established. You are to ensure the harmony in the relationship among all parties concerned and to establish a common understanding of program requirements
- Be the single point of contact to the client. Able to effectively engage various stakeholders in project decisions and execution.
- Understanding how different projects interlink and overlap and able to identify the interdependencies among the projects
- Establish program governance and monitoring to ensure project is on track, standards and processes are upheld.
- Responsible for various reporting needs as required by project governance
- Monitor and improve team performance, conduct team building, providing leadership, coaching and performance management.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Degree in Computer Science, Computing, Engineering or related discipline
- Must possess Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Information Technology Project Management (CITPM) certification
- Minimally 15 years of relevant project management experience with successful implementation of complex IT projects with large scale project value. Proven track record in assuming overall responsibilities and managing large scale projects in both the government and commercial sectors. In-depth knowledge and appreciation of the industries vertical will be a distinct advantage
- Experience in managing multiple subcontractors
- Strong working knowledge of financial systems (payment and securities domain) with SWIFT integration.
- In-depth knowledge and appreciation of the industries vertical will be a distinct advantage
- Mature people management skills, budget management and experience in building teams
- Excellent communications and able to work well at all levels, including Senior Executive level
- Strong customer-service orientation.
