Professional Engineer (PE) - Civil/Structural
Working days: 5.5day (Mon-Fri 9-6pm & Sat 9-1pm)

Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly competent Professional Engineer (PE) to handle the civil and structural aspects of landed residential projects. The candidate must be a registered engineer with the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) and capable of acting as the Qualified Person (QP) for structural works. This role involves certifying structural safety, managing technical design, and ensuring full compliance with local regulations.
Requirements:
- Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- Registration: Registered Professional Engineer (PE) with the Professional Engineers Board (PEB).
- Experience: Minimum 8-12 years of experience, specifically in landed residential projects. Experience with A&A (Addition & Alteration) works is highly preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, Prokon, or similar). Strong understanding of geotechnical considerations for landed properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Structural Design & Analysis: Lead the design and analysis of civil and structural elements for landed houses, ensuring safety, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Regulatory Compliance (QP Role): Act as the Qualified Person (PE) for structural works. Prepare, endorse, and submit structural calculations and plans to BCA for approval.
- Site Supervision & Inspection: Conduct regular structural inspections to ensure works comply with approved plans, geotechnical reports, and safety standards.
- Coordination: Work closely with the Architect (QP), contractors, and M&E consultants to resolve technical conflicts and optimize design solutions.
- Risk Management: Identify potential structural risks and geotechnical issues, proposing effective mitigation strategies to prevent delays or hazards.
- Certification: Issue requisite certificates (e.g., TOP/CSC) and endorse as-built drawings upon project completion.
- Problem-Solving: Provide on-site engineering solutions for unforeseen conditions such as soil issues, underpinning, or retaining wall construction.
