Job Description

As a Production Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for monitoring machine performance, conducting quality inspections, performing basic troubleshooting and maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on technical work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and are committed to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

  • Monitor and record machine and process parameters, taking corrective actions when required to maintain process control.

  • Perform in-process sampling and quality inspections according to established quality plans.

  • Handle non-conforming products and support quality assurance activities.

  • Conduct basic troubleshooting to minimize machine downtime and ensure continuous production.

  • Perform machine cleaning and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

  • Update production data, including output, waste, downtime, and component lot information in the production management system.

  • Carry out product and machine changeovers, including material changes, tool or die replacement, and minor machine setup.

  • Participate in daily shift handover meetings to review performance, quality, and production activities.

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance activities such as lubrication, cleaning, and equipment upkeep.

  • Support monthly team meetings, performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Assist Technical Specialists with major maintenance activities and equipment enhancement projects.

  • Contribute to data collection and analysis for production, quality, and operational improvement projects.

  • Promote workplace safety, environmental sustainability, and compliance with ISO 14001 requirements.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum secondary education, NITEC, Higher NITEC, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.

  • Experience in a manufacturing, production, or automated equipment environment is preferred.

  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting and machine maintenance knowledge.

  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, procedures, and quality standards.

  • Familiarity with quality inspection techniques and handling of non-conforming products is an advantage.

  • Comfortable working in a production environment and performing hands-on operational tasks.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
