Job Summary
You will lead shift operations by managing manpower, executing the production plan, and ensuring safety, quality, and output targets are achieved in real time. The role requires strong coordination of people and resources, effective WIP flow management, and active support for continuous improvement in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage shift operations to ensure production, quality, and delivery targets are met.
- Execute the production plan and maintain smooth WIP flow to support efficient operations.
- Monitor output, yield, and quality, and support corrective actions where needed.
- Allocate manpower effectively, including task assignment, break management, and shift coverage.
- Support workforce discipline, audit readiness, and compliance with company procedures.
- Promote a productive, disciplined, and positive working environment through effective people management.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality.
- Develop people productivity through resource planning, multi-skilling, and training support.
- Work with production planning to optimize manpower, equipment utilization, throughput, moves, and turns.
- Promote a safe, green, and healthy workplace in line with EHS requirements.
- Support cost reduction and responsible use of resources.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Engineering, Industrial/Manufacturing, Electronics, Mechanical, or a related technical field.
- Relevant experience in manufacturing or shift operations is an advantage.
- Strong communication, coaching, and conflict-handling skills.
- Ability to organize manpower, assign tasks, and manage breaks while maintaining production output.
- Willingness to work in a 24/7 shift environment, including rotating shifts, weekends, and nights.
- Experience in semiconductor, electronics, cleanroom, or automated manufacturing environments is an advantage.
