Production Supervisor (Night Shift)

Responsibilities

• Oversee night shift operations and manage optics production. Lead a team of skilled leaders, technicians, and operators to meet production key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, quality, employee efficiency, and cost control. Collaborate closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and Planning teams to drive continuous improvement projects. Conduct daily production meetings with section leaders to update on delivery commitments, quality issues, and machine status. Participate in machine maintenance review meetings and coordinate with the Maintenance team to promote Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). Manage machine prioritization schedules and raise maintenance notifications in the system as needed. Validate and approve Time Management System records for production staff. Identify and develop technicians or operators for progression to the next skill level. Attend production meetings with the Planning team for updates on delivery commitments and quality issues. Conduct 6S line inspections and audits while submitting Kaizen initiatives for departmental improvements. Maintain and update machine utilization data for capacity planning. Handle activities such as rework follow-up, overtime arrangements, and purchase requisitions. Update and present key performance indicators (KPIs) to management. Take ownership of EHS-related items, ensuring safety and compliance in all operations.

Requirements

• Diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field (e.g., NTC2 in Precision Optics Manufacturing). Minimum 10 years of experience in production or industrial manufacturing experience in optics production is advantageous. Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams of over 50 operators/technicians in a production setting. Strong follow-up skills and a high sense of ownership. Ability to work on permanent or rotating night shifts, including weekends. Knowledge of optics manufacturing processes or general industrial manufacturing is preferred.
