Job Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on and driven Production Supervisor to lead our night shift manufacturing operations in a fast-paced precision manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving production performance, leading shopfloor teams, ensuring product quality, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational excellence.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Maintenance, Planning, and Quality to ensure smooth production flow, on-time delivery, and high operational efficiency.
Job Description:
- Lead and supervise night shift production operations to achieve daily production targets, quality, and delivery commitments
- Manage and motivate a team of leaders, technicians, and operators to drive productivity and operational excellence
- Monitor and improve key production KPIs such as OTD, yield, scrap reduction, efficiency, and machine utilization
- Coordinate with Engineering, Maintenance, Planning, and Quality teams to resolve production and technical issues
- Support machine maintenance planning and drive TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) activities
- Review production priorities, manpower planning, and machine schedules to optimize operational performance
- Participate in MRB reviews and support resolution of production quality issues
- Drive continuous improvement, Kaizen, 6S, and process stabilization initiatives
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational procedures
- Develop and coach production staff to enhance technical competency and career progression
- Maintain accurate production records and support SAP-related operational activities
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Technical qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Precision Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing or production environment, with supervisory experience preferred
- Experience in optics, semiconductor, precision engineering, or high-volume manufacturing environment is an advantage
- Strong leadership and people management skills with experience leading production teams
- Good problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills
- Familiar with manufacturing KPIs, continuous improvement, and shopfloor operations
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is preferred
- Able to work permanent or rotating night shifts, including weekends when required
