Job Scope:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are met. This role involves managing production staff, coordinating workflow, optimizing manufacturing processes, and ensuring continuous improvement to achieve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet output, quality, and delivery goals.
- Plan, assign, and monitor work schedules for production staff.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed.
- Implement and sustain process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Train, coach, and evaluate production team members to enhance skill development and performance.
- Collaborate with quality assurance, maintenance, engineering, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain accurate production reports and documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen activities.
- Ensure raw materials and resources are available to meet production schedules.
- Address and resolve production-related issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Qualifications (optional section):
- Diploma or Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing supervisory role.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Six Sigma principles is an advantage.
