Responsibilities
- Supervise site inspections and resolve project-related issues involving subcontractors to maintain work progress and quality
- Track subcontractor working hours to ensure accurate labor management and cost control
- Lead the Project Team to deliver projects on schedule and according to approved plans
- Prepare detailed Site Progress Reports and Manpower Planning documents to support project tracking and resource allocation
- Identify staff training needs and coordinate skill development programs to enhance ship repair capabilities
- Oversee staff training initiatives to improve mechanical repair skills and promote safety awareness among team members
- Monitor and analyze safety and hazard reports to enforce compliance with established safety standards
- Implement and audit safety plans and practices within the Mechanical Department to maintain a safe working environment
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the shipyard or marine industry
- Strong knowledge and practical experience in propulsion, shaft alignment, thrusters, and CPP systems
- Singaporeans or Singapore Permanent Residents only
