Oversees and directs the development, planning, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes and operations for new or existing products and technologies.
Establishes and/or implements business plans and technical project objectives to meet the short- and long- term goals of the production organization.
Manages employees in various manufacturing or product assembly support departments.
Works closely with quality groups to ensure strict compliance with good manufacturing practices guidelines.
Prepares documentation, reports and standard operating procedures.
May manage the new product introduction (NPI) process, including prototype build and ramping of the new product to volume production.
Accountable for key metrics, which may include revenue, customer satisfaction and quality goals.
Qualifications
May require Associate Degree or higher education/specialized training/certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Typically, minimum of 1-year experience formally or informally leading people, projects and/or programs for entry to this level.
