Position Summary:
The Production/Operation Executive is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and improving day-to-day production and operational processes. This role ensures smooth workflow across departments, supports production planning, manages inventory accuracy, and maintains quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks
1. Production Planning & Coordination
- Assist in preparing daily/weekly production schedules.
- Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and sales teams to ensure material availability and timely output.
- Track production progress and ensure targets are met.
- Communicate production updates or delays to relevant departments.
2. Operations Monitoring
- Oversee daily production floor activities to ensure smooth operations.
- Identify bottlenecks and propose process improvements.
- Ensure machines/equipment are functioning properly and coordinate maintenance when needed.
- Monitor manpower allocation and support supervisors in arranging shift schedules.
- Work closely with the export team to plan import and export shipments.
3. Quality Assurance
- Ensure production meets quality standards and customer requirements.
- Conduct spot checks and support quality inspections.
- Report defects, deviations, and initiate corrective actions.
4. Inventory & Material Management
- Monitor raw material, WIP (work-in-progress), and finished goods inventory levels.
- Coordinate stock replenishment with the purchasing team.
- Ensure accuracy of stock records and assist in monthly/quarterly stock counts.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain production reports, daily output records, and operational KPIs.
- Prepare weekly/monthly operation summaries for management review.
- Ensure all SOPs, work instructions, and documentation are updated and followed.
6. Compliance, Safety & 5S
- Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and safety guidelines.
- Support implementation of ISO standards, or other operational systems.
- Assist in safety audits and ensure corrective actions are taken.
7. Cross-Department Support
- Liaise with logistics for shipment planning and delivery schedules.
- Work closely with R&D during product trials or new process implementation.
- Provide support during internal/external audits.
Job Requirements
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in Operations Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Proficient in PC applications, including MS Office, Google Apps (Sheets, Docs, Slides) and Xero
- Possession of a valid Class 3 driving licence will be an added advantage.
