The
Production Manager will oversee the entire frozen food manufacturing process, from raw material intake to finished product packing. This role requires strong leadership, experience in food production, and a deep understanding of frozen product handling and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan daily and weekly production schedules to meet demand.
- Coordinate with sales and inventory teams to forecast production needs.
- Monitor workflow and ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the frozen food production line.
- Implement and enforce SOPs for processing, freezing, packing, and storage.
- Maintain production efficiency while minimizing downtime and waste.
- Lead, train, and supervise production staff.
- Monitor performance and ensure staff follow hygiene and safety protocols.
- Conduct daily briefings and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations such as HACCP, SFA, ISO, HALAL, and HSSC.
- Implement and oversee certification audits and renewals.
- Monitor product quality throughout the production process.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections.
- Ensure all freezing, cooking, and packing equipment are well-maintained.
- Report and coordinate repairs or servicing as needed.
- Ensure the production facility meets cleanliness and safety standards.
- Track raw materials and packaging usage.
- Coordinate with procurement and warehouse for timely supply.
- Minimize wastage through proper material handling and storage practices.
- Maintain accurate production records, reports, and batch tracking logs.
- Analyze production data to identify and implement process improvements.
- Report KPIs and operational challenges to senior management.
Key Requirements
- Strong experience in food production, with solid knowledge in frozen food manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience managing and implementing food safety certification standards, including HACCP, ISO, HALAL, HSSC, and SFA compliance.
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment in Singapore is required.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Familiar with operating industrial kitchen equipment and freezing systems.
- Strong planning and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiar with production reporting tools and inventory systems.
- Able to work in cold room and factory environments.
