Production Engineer

Key Responsibilities

. Plan and schedule production activities according to customer orders and delivery deadlines.

. Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Procurement, and Warehouse to ensure smooth production flow.

. Monitor production progress to meet delivery deadline.

. Ensure production targets are achieved within the planned timeline.

. Reduce production downtime, material wastage, and operating costs.

. Supervise daily production activities and ensure compliance with work instructions.

. Allocate manpower and machine resources efficiently.

. Monitor machine utilisation and production output.

. Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.

. Ensure all fabricated stainless steel products comply with customer specifications, drawings, and quality standards.

. Work closely with the Quality team to resolve quality issues.

. Investigate non-conformities and implement preventive measures.

. Review engineering drawings and fabrication requirements before production.

. Provide technical guidance to supervisors, welders, fabricators, and machine operators.

. Assist in developing fabrication methods and production procedures.

. Coordinate with Procurement to ensure timely availability of materials.

. Ensure proper material identification and traceability.

. Maintain accurate production and inventory records.

Skills & Competencies

. Strong knowledge of stainless steel fabrication processes (cutting, bending, welding, polishing, assembly, and finishing).

. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and fabrication specifications.

. Familiarity with welding processes such as Argon welding.

. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

. Good leadership and team management abilities.

. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

. Proficiency with engineering design programs such as AutoCAD, BIM and Rhino.
