Duties
Interpret engineering drawings (2D/3D CAD)
Define manufacturing routes (routing sheets / process plans)
Select machining methods (CNC milling, turning, EDM, grinding, etc.)
Determine tooling, fixtures, and workholding methods
Set cycle time estimates for quotations and planning
Support introduction of new parts (NPI / first article build)
Responsibilities
- Lead and direct business operations in alignment with company policies
- Manage plan changes, including internal and external communications, HR and related technical issues
- Oversee and drive the production team to meet company objectives and KPI.
- Reinforce internal policies, business planning, procedures and quality standards on all practices executed by staff
- Improve manufacturing capability, technologies and problem solving in conjunction with quality & engineering requirement
- Development of workforce plans including competency frameworks to meet operational requirements of organization
- Cultivate safeguarding against unexpected operational incidents that affect business continuity
- Undertake other tasks including administrative duties in connection with the post
- Perform ad-hoc duties as and when required
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in supervising in engineering production industry
- Experience in managing a workforce of 50 or more people preferred
- Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma/Post Graduate Diploma in Mechanical /Manufacturing Engineering field preferred
- Good interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with staff, clients and suppliers
- Efficient project management, problem solving & decision-making skills
- Takes initiative and is assertive/aggressive
