Job Summary
You will lead daily production operations, drive manufacturing process improvements, and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality in a precision manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production activities to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of products
- Coordinate manpower allocation, production scheduling, and workflow execution to optimize resource use
- Troubleshoot production, process, and manufacturing issues to minimize downtime and defects
- Implement process improvements that increase productivity, efficiency, and product quality
- Develop and maintain clear work instructions, production procedures, and manufacturing documentation
- Collaborate closely with Engineering and Quality teams to resolve production issues and support operations
- Support new product introduction (NPI), first article builds, and process validation to ensure readiness for production
- Monitor machine utilization, production performance metrics, and downtime to identify improvement opportunities
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and maintain good housekeeping in production areas
- Coordinate with Planner/Purchasing and Logistics teams to meet production material and scheduling requirements
- Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives to enhance operational excellence
- Guide and support production operators and technicians to maintain high performance and quality standards
Required competencies and certifications
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Proficiency with Epicor systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills applied to manufacturing processes
- Hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to work independently
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and production workflows
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or production environments
- Experience in precision engineering, machining, connector assembly, electronics manufacturing, or automation-related industries
- Experience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong sense of responsibility and ownership
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Good teamwork and cross-functional coordination skills
- Positive working attitude with willingness to support operational needs
