An exciting opportunity has arisen for a
Production Controller within Fan Blade Manufacturing.
Working within a defined organisational unit you, will be wholly responsible for your defined portfolio of products & components (parts / items). You will drive on time delivery through effective planning whilst maintaining ERP and supporting systems. Working within an operational team you will identify, prioritise, mitigate and resolve delivery issues within the supply chain that may impact the customer. You will maintain the executive ERP system with relevant current data and information, whilst ensuring that any inventory is optimised. You are governed by the relevant company polices and processes.

Key Accountabilities
- Ensure the ERP system is maintained with robust & credible data that creates suitable supply elements that support the delivery of the customers demands/ requirements.
- Have a working knowledge of the load and capacity factors that could potentially affect the supply chains ability to deliver the plan and offer mitigations to alleviate these.
- Ensure awareness of inventory implications across the value stream resulting from ERP system planning parameters and settings and to optimise these where permitted, whilst minimising customer delivery risk.
- Ensure that the quality requirements that can have an impact onto parts delivery are understood and reflected within the ERP system and that these are validated within the supply chain.
- To work with the Heads of Planning (or equivalent, e.g. Master Schedulers) and schedulers to ensure that robust answers are given to any Sales Inventory Operation Planning questions through the SIOP or equivalent processes.
- Have an appreciation of the implications onto the physical warehouse (storage locations) and logistics areas in terms of additional resource and cost of any ad hoc and unplanned delivery management including where necessary expedite activity
- To have an appreciation of typical structures of a supply chain and where applicable associated Bills Of Materials (BOM's)
- To be actively engaged in the ERP compliance processes thereby ensuring robustness of plans by maintaining high integrity data.
- Ensure the logistics methods for delivery and movement of parts to and within the company/customer are optimised in terms of cost, whilst ensuring that the required availability dates for any material is not compromised.
- To carry out as required (periodically scheduled as agreed) the required business reviews and assessments in order to understand the capability to deliver to the company's demand requirements, with respect to constraints, capability, bottlenecks and Load/Capacity imbalance.
- To operate to the relevant policies and procedures as defined within the corporate quality processes and the production system
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or relevant professional qualification (e.g.. APICS) or suitable equivalent based on proven experience
- Understanding and experience of managing load / capacity is desirable
- Demonstrated ability to manage deliveries and make balanced business decisions under challenging ambiguous circumstances.
- Understanding of different roles / functions / processes (e.g. Manufacturing, Purchase, NPI, Quality etc.).
- Able to take responsibility for their own development
- Experience of production planning and associated control processes.
- Working knowledge of and experience with MRP and/or ERP systems.
- MS Office, PowerBI or equivalent working skills.
- Digital AI skill required
