Job Description
NPI Project Leadership
. Lead manufacturing workstream for assigned NPI programs from prototype to mass production, drive build readiness.
. Develop and execute industrialization plans, including process flow design, line layout, capacity planning, PFMEA, control plan and validation strategies.
. Own manufacturing gates and deliverables in the product lifecycle (PLC Gate 4 to Gate 5).
. Define critical process parameters (CPP) and CTQs set up, SPC, MSA, and process control plans.
. Lead trial builds, first article inspection (FAI), and process qualification (OQ/PQ) drive issue closure via 8D/PDCA.
. Collaborate with Quality/Process Engineering on process capability (Cpk/Ppk) and yield improvement.
. Specify and qualify tooling, jigs/fixtures, and automations/testers support FAT and buy-offs.
. Coordinate equipment installation, calibration, and preventive maintenance planning with Facilities/Maintenance.
Project Management & Communication
. Build and maintain NPI schedules, risks, and mitigation plans run daily/weekly war rooms during builds.
. Report status to leadership on timeline, yield, quality, and cost escalate blockers with facts and options.
. Define run-at-rate criteria ensure stable yields, takt adherence, and documentation readiness for production handover.
Requirements:
Bachelor's in manufacturing/mechanical/industrial engineering or related equivalent experience considered.
. 5+ years (Assistant Manager) or 8-12+ years (Manager/Senior Manager) in manufacturing engineering/industrialization/NPI.
. Proven experience taking products from proto to ramp in one or more of: electronics/PCBA, electromechanical assemblies, precision machining, medical devices, automotive, or semicon equipment.
. Hands-on with PFMEA, Control Plan, 8D, DOE, Lean/Six Sigma, and DFM/DFA.
. Proficient with ERP/MES and CAD/PLM basics advanced Excel/Power BI is a plus.
. Strong cross-functional project leadership, shopfloor presence, and data-driven decision making.
