  • Drive uptake of new treatment paradigms in Surgical Ophthalmic working closely with cross-functional colleagues.
  • Optimise, grow, and manage Ophthalmology business in aligned territory using customer insights, business planning methodologies, to achieve agreed sales and growth targets.
  • Preparation of Correct, Clear, Current, Complete and Competitive commercial offers (Quotations) as per the customer requirements within the stipulated time frame to increase company profitability.
  • Regular monitoring of Debtors and coordination with Finance staff to ensure timely collections.
  • Following up with customers for the outstanding payments beyond 30 days. Addressing issues with the customers by supplying statement of accounts and copies of invoice.
  • Manage individual customer data base by updating contact information. Regular updates to Sales Manager and Country Manager regarding customers.
  • Provide clinical support to Ophthalmic practices, assess and identify needs of practice to improve surgical outcomes
  • Assist practices analyse their outcomes (e.g. reviewing files, data entry for analysis) as required and train the staff on the theory and techniques of improving biometry measurements as required
  • Constant track on competitor activity feedback to maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Management of Customer Calls/Enquiries/Orders directly and execution, follow-up with respective Customer Service Personnel
  • Contacting customer for follow-up on orders and deliveries and maintaining good relationship with customers.
  • Taking corrective/preventive actions as a follow up measure to customer complaints by coordinating with the After-Sales Service division.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure sales activities are integrated and proper processes and protocols are followed to provide the most suitable service to the customer needs.
  • Review of processes and recommend process improvements to ensure customer is successful.
  • Send in Daily & Weekly work reports and other reports that maybe required.
  • Efficient, timely and accurate reporting of Sales activities, results, opportunities & threats to National Sales Manager.
  • Maintaining and archiving quotation and pricing information for future strategic and management decisions.
  • Ability to coordinate and work as an effective team member with all levels
  • Assist with other duties assigned by the Management from time to time based on the demands of the business and its developments or challenges.
  • Possess a Bachelors Degree in Optical/Optometry/Ophthalmology/Medical Science/Life Science or equivalent.

  • Preferably minimum of 1–2 years of relevant working experience
  • Good inter-personal skills, efficient oral & written communication
  • Excellent computer literacy
  • Ability to prioritize and execute knowledge of local laws and documentary procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Office Application (Word, Power Point, Excel)
