Product Specialist
Job Summary
- Support business development efforts by identifying project opportunities and generating qualified leads within the architectural finishes industry.
- Build relationships with architects, interior designers, consultants, contractors, and end users.
- Promote company products and secure early-stage specifications.
- Pass qualified leads and project opportunities to the Sales Manager for follow-up, quotation, and closing.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Market Development
- Identify new project opportunities in commercial, hospitality, and institutional sectors.
- Source leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, online research, and site visits.
- Arrange appointments and meetings for the Sales Manager.
- Maintain an active pipeline of prospects and upcoming projects.
Specification & Client Engagement
- Introduce company products and solutions to architects, interior designers, consultants, and developers.
- Conduct product presentations, lunch & learn sessions,and sample introductions.
- Secure interest and early-stage specifications for projectopportunities.
- Gather project information such as timeline, decisionmakers, budget, and scope,. Sales Support Coordination
- Pass warm leads and project updates to the Sales Manager for conversion.
- Assist in preparing quotations, proposals, sample submissions, and presentation materials.
- Follow up on pending enquiries and coordinate meetings where required.
- Support the Sales Manager in managing key accounts and active opportunities.
Relationship Management
- Maintain regular contact with A&D firms, consultants, contractors, and end users.
- Build strong market presence and brand awareness.
- Provide professional customer service and timely responses.
Reporting & Administration
- Update CRM system with leads, meeting notes, and project status.
- Prepare weekly activity reports, pipeline reports, and lead conversion updates.
- Keep records of contacts, opportunities, and follow-up actions.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience in sales support, telemarketing, business development, or sales within architectural finishes, buildingmaterials, furniture, partitions, flooring, ceiling, or related industry.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident in approaching clients and generating leads.
- Organized, proactive, and able to multitask.
- Strong follow-up skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
