The role supports regional payment transformation programmes involving financial institutions operating in Vietnam and requires a strong understanding of Vietnam's domestic payment schemes, regulatory requirements, and banking practices.
- Minimum of 10 years consulting experience in banking, payments, or financial services transformation projects.
- Banking/financial services expertise with focus on Payments, Cash Management, Transaction Banking, or Core Banking.
- Strong knowledge of the Vietnam payments ecosystem, including domestic payment schemes, interbank transfers, instant payments, clearing, settlement, and regulatory practices.
- ISO 20022 understanding covering message structures, data requirements, and transformation impacts.
- Finastra GPP experience or exposure to payment system implementation and modernization.
- Payments modernization background including hubs, ISO 20022 adoption, and operational transformation.
- Business analysis skills in requirements definition, Fit Gap, process design, issue management, UAT, and migration.
- Stakeholder engagement through workshops, interviews, and consensus building.
- Team leadership managing junior members, reviewing deliverables, and coordinating workstreams.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare high-quality executive presentations, business documentation, and analytical reports using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
- Problem solving and communication with proven issue management capability.
- Flexibility to contribute beyond client delivery, including sales support, proposals, and internal operations.
- Payments processing knowledge in routing, validation, exception handling, repair, reconciliation, accounting, settlement, sanctions screening, AML, and fraud monitoring.
- Transaction Banking expertise including Cash Management, Liquidity Management, and Treasury Operations.
- Vendor and partner collaboration with system integrators, product teams, and operations teams.
- Proposal and RFP support including client presentations, estimation assumptions, and solution options.
- English is the primary working language. Vietnamese language skills may be beneficial when engaging directly with Vietnamese-speaking clients or business users. Japanese language proficiency is advantageous where the role requires communication with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders who are not fully proficient in English.
