Product Owner

The Role

Onsite product owner for a retail futures trading platform being built for an MAS-regulated securities firm in Singapore. The role serves as the bridge between the customer and the offshore development team — owning the product backlog, managing customer stakeholders, unblocking dependencies, and ensuring on-time delivery across demo, live launch, and scale phases.

Responsibilities

•       Own product backlog — write user stories, define acceptance criteria, prioritise sprints

•       Act as single point of contact between customer business/compliance/IT teams and offshore development team

•       Coordinate third-party brokerage API integration — staging access, credential management, documentation follow-ups

•       Conduct sprint reviews with customer stakeholders, manage UAT cycles, triage defects, and escalate risks

•       Coordinate environment setup — cloud infrastructure, on-premise database connectivity, VPN provisioning

•       Drive demo readiness, live launch cutover planning, and mobile App Store submission timelines

Required Experience

•       8–10 years in technology delivery roles within capital markets (futures/derivatives preferred; equities or FX accepted)

•       At least one trading platform build or major brokerage integration delivery (not BAU support)

•       Understanding of real-time systems — WebSocket streaming, event-driven architecture, or low-latency data flows

•       Ability to read REST/WebSocket API documentation and participate in integration design discussions

•       Experience coordinating offshore/distributed development teams (India–Singapore corridor is a plus)

•       Strong stakeholder management — able to manage scope boundaries while maintaining customer confidence

Preferred

•       Familiarity with MAS TRM guidelines or PDPA data residency requirements

•       Experience with KYC onboarding platforms (SumSub, Jumio, or similar)

•       CSPO, SAFe PO/PM, or PMP certification

•       Exposure to GCP or hybrid cloud/on-premise deployments
