Job Description

Your role

This is a short-term position of up to one year.

You shape and run the end-to-end product lifecycle for SAMA-driven regulatory reporting and interactive regulatory technologies in Saudi Arabia. You bring strong understanding of Saudi market and regulatory nuances-local operating calendars and cut-offs, certification/onboarding expectations, data and documentation requirements, and the stakeholder ecosystem across SAMA and platform providers. You balance delivery execution with operational stability, ensuring compliant outcomes, resilient services and seamless integration with UBS core banking and payments platforms.

In this role, you will:

- Own the vision, roadmap and backlog for SAMA-regulatory products and services (regulatory reporting and interactive submissions) in the Saudi landscape.

- Define scope, operating model and measurable success metrics (availability, timeliness, data quality and regulatory SLA adherence), driving continuous improvement.

- Drive product discovery with internal users and control functions (Ops, Finance, Risk/Compliance) to identify pain points, validate needs and shape solutions that reduce operational effort and regulatory risk in the Saudi context.

- Prioritize transparently, balancing Saudi regulatory deadlines and cut-offs, risk findings, technical debt and customer value make clear trade-offs and sequencing decisions with stakeholders.

- Establish product KPIs/OKRs and dashboards, using data to monitor outcomes (submission success rates, timeliness, latency, defects, exceptions and manual touchpoints) and guide prioritization for Saudi regulatory services.

- Act as the primary SME for key Saudi regulatory platforms-Watheeq, SARIE/RTGS and ZATCAe-Invoicing-translating SAMA circulars and specifications into clear requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.

- Embed Saudi-specific operating nuances into designs and delivery (local calendars/holidays, business day cut-offs, Arabic/locale and formatting requirements where applicable, certification windows and provider change processes), ensuring solutions work in real-world Saudi operational conditions.

- Plan and govern change delivery end-to-end: intake and impact assessment, SIT/UAT, certifications, dress rehearsals, cutovers and release governance (CAB approvals, implementation and rollback plans).

- Own regulatory readiness end-to-end (e.g., attestations, evidence packs, certifications and platform onboarding), ensuring deliverables meet SAMA and provider expectations and align to Saudi timelines before go-live.

- Ensure operational readiness and evidence-based compliance through robust controls, traceability, documentation, runbooks, operating calendars and audit-ready artefacts.

- Oversee day-to-day service operations (monitoring, controls execution and reporting continuity) lead incident triage, root-cause analysis and remediation planning to prevent recurrence.

- Drive continuous improvement through automation and control uplift (monitoring, alert tuning, self-healing, reconciliation automation), reducing incidents and manual workload over time-especially during Saudi regulatory peaks and cut-off periods.

- Own integration requirements and interface controls between SAMA platforms and internal systems(e.g., Temenos T24 core banking, TPH payments, middleware/integration and reporting layers), including validation, acknowledgements, retries and reconciliation.

- Own the artefacts (SCM)role/action in CATI/AppDir, ensuring repositories, branching/merge policies, access controls and SDLC governance are correctly defined, maintained and audit-ready.

- Review security vulnerabilities across applications and dependencies (e.g., SAST/DAST, container and infrastructure scans), triage findings by severity and risk and drive remediation plans to closure with clear owners, timelines and evidence.

- Coordinate stakeholders across business, operations, technology, risk/compliance, finance and external providers-running governance forums (steercos, change boards, risk reviews) and managing communications, training and adoption.

- Manage escalations with central bank technical providers and third parties track defects and observations to closure and maintain transparent status updates.

Your team

You will work in the Saudi Applications Solutions Engineering Team, at the intersection of banking operations, payments and technology-partnering with core banking, payments, integration, security and infrastructure teams, as well as risk/compliance and business owners. You will also coordinate closely with Saudi regulatory platform providers and external parties to deliver against SAMA timelines and expectations.

- 5+ years working with Saudi regulatory platforms (implementation and/or run operations), with strong understanding of local operating calendars, cut-offs and regulatory interaction patterns.

- Strong understanding of Saudi banking and payments nuances that impact delivery and run (settlement and cut-off schedules, local business days/holidays, operational handoffs, Arabic/locale considerations where applicable, and expectations for evidence, certifications and provider engagement).

- Strong understanding of integration patterns between regulatory platforms and internal banking/payment ecosystems (APIs, middleware, message queues, security controls, reconciliations and exception handling).

- 5+ years of experience with Temenos T24 core banking and TPH payments platforms, including integration, controls, reconciliations and change delivery in regulated environments.

- Proven product management capability: roadmap planning, backlog prioritization, requirements definition, stakeholder governance and value measurement.

- Strong operational and change management discipline (incident/problem/change management, release governance, risk controls and service reporting) with a focus on service resilience.

- Experience partnering with InfoSec and Risk to manage control findings (vulnerabilities, audit observations, risk acceptances), define remediation roadmaps and track closure.

- Solid data and reporting control mindset: data lineage, data quality controls, reconciliation gates, evidence readiness and audit documentation.

- Comfortable working with data and tooling (e.g., SQL, reporting/BI, logs/monitoring) to investigate issues, validate controls and measure product outcomes.

- Experience engaging external regulatory bodies and providers (e.g., SAMA/RTGS, Watheeq, ZATCA),including third-party relationship management, escalations and delivery commitments.

You are:

- Clear, structured and concise in how you communicate-able to turn regulatory requirements into actionable delivery plans and operational instructions.

- Strong at stakeholder management and influence, aligning business, technology, risk/compliance and external parties on priorities and outcomes.

- Context-aware and effective in the Saudi stakeholder ecosystem-able to navigate local decision-making, communication styles and escalation paths with internal teams and external providers.

- Outcome-oriented with a strong sense of ownership-comfortable making decisions, escalating early and driving topics to closure.

- Disciplined inexecution-able to break complex problems into deliverable increments, manage risks and dependencies, and maintain high standards for quality and controls.

- Able to think strategically while staying hands-on-connecting near-term delivery to longer-term platform simplification, resilience and regulatory change readiness.

- Analytical and pragmatic, comfortable navigating complex data flows, controls and integration dependencies to make sound decisions.

- Accountable and resilient-able to operate with urgency during incidents and regulatory deadlines while maintaining quality and strong controls.

- Collaborative in across-functional environment, coordinating across teams to deliver stable services and measurable improvements.
