Product Manager - Research & Insights

AlphaESS is a global energy storage solutions provider, with core business covering residential and small commercial & industrial (C&I) energy storage systems.

Our cloud platform serves as the core system for monitoring, scheduling, operations, and data analytics, continuously serving users, installers, and partners across different regions worldwide.

To strengthen insight-driven product decision-making, we are establishing a Product Manager - Research & Insights position in Singapore.

This role will focus on market research, competitive analysis, user insights, and industry trend research, providing continuous research support and strategic input to the product team.

What You Will Do

1. Competitive Monitoring & Analysis

· Establish and maintain competitive monitoring mechanisms

· Deliver regular competitive analysis reports, identifying market opportunities and threats

· Track competitor product updates, feature releases, and market strategies

2. Market Trend Research

· Research energy storage industry trends, policy changes, and emerging technologies

· Analyze characteristics and demand differences across regional markets

· Provide market insights and trend analysis for product planning

3. User Research & Insights

· Collect and analyze feedback and usage behavior from overseas users

· Identify pain points and needs across different user roles (end users, installers, operations)

· Deliver user insight reports to support product experience optimization

4. Industry Regulations & Compliance Research

· Track energy storage regulations and standards across different markets

· Analyze the impact of regulatory changes on products

· Provide research support for product compliance

5. Product Strategy Support

· Respond to research requests from the onsite product team

· Deliver product recommendations or draft PRDs based on research insights

· Participate in product planning discussions, providing data and insight support

What We Are Looking For

Basic Requirements

· Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, Energy, Market Research, or related fields

· 3+ years of experience in product management, market research, or product analysis

· Capable of independently conducting research, analysis, and report writing

· Familiar with basic product management processes

· Ability to present research findings and conclusions in a clear and structured way

· Strong readability in reports and documentation

· Ability to distinguish facts, assumptions, and recommendations

4. Self-Driven & Independent

· Ability to continuously own a research domain independently

· Proactively identify research topics and drive progress

· Adapt to remote collaboration and communicate effectively across time zones

Nice to Have

· Experience in energy storage, energy management, solar PV, EV charging, or IoT platforms

· Background in market research, consulting, or analyst roles

· B2B / SaaS product experience

· Experience collaborating with overseas customers, installers, or regional teams
