Key Responsibilities:
Product Management
1.Market Research & Competitor Analysis
- Conduct ongoing research on market competitors, tracking trends, opportunities, strengths, and weaknesses.
- Maintain and update competitor comparison frameworks to guide product strategy.
- Assess and determine potential collaborations / partnerships
2.Product Roadmap & Development Alignment
- Gather feedback from sales, tech, and business teams to refine product roadmap priorities.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to track product development progress, resolve blockers, manage and ensure delivery aligns with timelines and market needs.
- Align with engineering team to migrate to new platform
3.Product Rollout & Tools Evaluation
- Explore tools and technologies to enhance product rollout, adoption, and operational efficiency.
- Recommend improvements to strengthen user experience and product functionality.
4.Product Demonstrations & Enablement
- Review and refine product demos in collaboration with sales and tech teams to ensure accuracy and impact.
- Ensure demos highlight product capabilities in alignment with market positioning and customer use cases.
Pre-Sales & Client Engagement
1.Client Engagement & Requirement Gathering
- Lead pre-sales discussions to understand client needs, clarify requirements, and set the foundation for long-term partnerships.
- Document detailed client requirements for proposals and smooth handover to Customer Success and Service Delivery.
2.Proposal & Solution Development
- Create tailored solution overviews, workflows, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with internal teams to design scalable solutions including functional specs, implementation plans, success factors, and dependencies.
- Standardize proposals, documents and sales collateral for the purpose of sales support.
3.Product Demonstrations & Presentations
- Deliver compelling demos and presentations, contextualized to client challenges, goals, and industry standards.
- Confidently articulate product value propositions and differentiation in competitive landscapes.
4.Pre-to-Post Sales Support
- Handover / Partner with Customer Success / delivery teams to ensure client commitments and expectations are translated into actionable onboarding / delivery plans.
- Support early onboarding stages by providing technical background and clarifying proposed solutions.
- Re-engage with clients to understand new or potential functional scope for any new product functionalities which may need to be incorporated into
- product roadmap alongside Customer Success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a pre-sales, solution consulting, product manager/management or technical sales role.
- Strong understanding of software development, IT systems, and business process workflows.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with sales, product development, and service delivery teams.
Personality:
Sense of ownership, responsibility, logical thinking, and effective planning, being proactive, details-oriented, and as a team player, also being firm and persuasive, and being honest. Good email writing skills, as well as good interpersonal communication and negotiation skills, including public speaking.
Language:
Proficient in English and Mandarin (Verbal and written)
Able to communicate in Malaysian is a plus
IT Literacy:
Microsoft office suite, Google functionalities, Jira, Confluence, Figma, or product analytics platforms is a plus.
