The Product Manager is responsible for supporting the ILP Lead for the end-to-end development and management of life insurance products and propositions across investment-linked product line, from ideation through launch. This role combines customer-centric product design, market insight, commercial thinking, and execution capabilities to deliver solutions that meet customer needs and business objectives.
Work cross-functionally (distribution, marketing, operations, actuarial, compliance, underwriting, external partners) to enable timely launches, with governance, operational readiness, and sales enablement.
Job Scope
- Deliver priority product initiatives from concept to launch: Drive day-to-day execution of product deliverables -manage product design specifications, stakeholder alignment, pricing/features coordination and benchmarking, documentation and broader product launch readiness working closely with Project Managers, Distribution, Ops, Tech, Actuarial, Risk, Compliance, Legal).
- Develop and enhance product positioning and proposition enhancements using insights and feedback: Gather distribution and customer insights with distribution engagement, perform competitor comparisons and product positioning and recommend targeted product enhancements that improve customer value and commercial outcomes.
- Manage product development initiatives: ensuring compliance with MAS/LIA and internal policies and provide responsive product support to distribution and internal stakeholders
Job Requirements
- Degree in Business, Actuarial or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years experience in life insurance product development/management or closely related roles.
- Preferably ILP knowledge, with awareness of customer needs and market dynamics.
- Possess commercial and analytical skills, including positioning and product benchmarking.
- Good understanding of end-to-end product development lifecycle (including ideation, governance and regulatory requirements), with a proactive mindset and the skill to improve ways of working - identifying optimization opportunities and leveraging AI-enabled solution where appropriate.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and an innovation/problem-solving mindset.
