ELLO Product Manager Responsibilities

The Product Manager plays a critical role in bridging vision with execution - ensuring that what we build not only works but also resonates with the market and delivers business impact.

Execution & Delivery

- Collaborate closely with the Product Owner (Founder) and Design Team to define and prioritize roadmap items.

- Write clear and structured tickets:

- Define the what and why for each task.

- Specify acceptance criteria and success metrics.

- Assign priority and effort levels.

- Attach supporting materials (Figma links, screenshots, videos, documents).

- Ensure clear structuring: epics stories sub-tasks.

- Host sprint planning with engineers, QA, and designers:

- Review and prioritize backlog.

- Address potential blockers.

- Discuss feasibility and dependencies.

- Set sprint goals and outcomes.

- Groom the product backlog regularly with the team.

- Manage A/B test planning:

- Define experiment hypotheses, control, and variant groups.

- Present findings and next steps to the team.

Market & User Research

- Conduct competitive benchmarking against smart home and AI camera players.

- Stay updated on industry trends (AI, computer vision, smart home standards, consumer privacy).

- Run customer discovery activities:

- Interviews with core target audience (e.g., mothers, families, pet owners).

- Surveys and structured feedback collection.

- Monitor competitor launches, pricing, and positioning.

Product Strategy & Alignment

- Translate ELLO's vision into actionable product strategies.

- Define and maintain user personas and customer journeys.

- Prioritize roadmap items based on business value (user adoption, revenue potential, retention, differentiation).

- Align roadmap with go-to-market strategy (crowdfunding launch, investor milestones, retail readiness).

- Ensure features resonate with real user needs - not just technical possibilities.

Metrics & Analytics

- Define and track KPIs at both product and business levels:

- Activation (successful onboarding).

- Engagement (chat interactions, daily/weekly usage).

- Retention (churn, recurring subscriptions).

- Reduction in false alerts / noise.

- Use analytics to validate roadmap decisions and A/B test outcomes.

- Share key metrics in sprint reviews and stakeholder updates.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Partner with Marketing for product positioning, feature launches, and storytelling.

- Work with Sales/Partnerships to ensure feature sets meet partner requirements.

- Support Customer Success/Support with training materials, FAQs, and product updates.

- Maintain consistent communication between all teams to ensure alignment.

Feedback & Continuous Improvement

- Own beta testing programs and early adopter feedback loops.

- Collect, triage, and prioritize feature requests and bug reports.

- Translate feedback into backlog items and roadmap adjustments.

- Ensure every release has a post-mortem review (what worked, what didn't, what's

next).

Long-Term Strategic Ownership

- Maintain a 3-6-12 month roadmap, balancing quick wins and long-term bets.

- Work with the founder on investor-facing updates tied to product milestones.

- Explore adjacent opportunities (Matter integration, smart home interoperability, subscription growth).

- Continuously validate that ELLO's product direction stays ahead of evolving market

needs.

Outcome:

The PM ensures ELLO builds the right product, the right way, at the right time.
